Active learning-Refection

Active Learning- Refection 

During PE this year, how have you shown you are prepared and willing to participate 
in a variety of activities?  On what days have you participated to your best effort and 
why?  What days have been a struggle for you and why?

How do you contribute to the overall success of the class?  What kind of attitude do 
you bring and why?  How do you interact with other students in our class?

Describe your participation during fitness days - have you been able to push yourself 
physically?  What types of fitness activities do you enjoy the most?  What fitness 
goals do you have for the rest of the year? 

What does "leadership" mean to you?  Who are the best leaders in our class - why?

What improvements would you like to make in PE by the end of the year?  What are 
you the most proud of so far?

Active Learning- Refection

This year I told myself that I wanted to come prepared to improve my lifestyle and to improve my fitness in class. I have come prepared every class with fitness wear and i have tried to come with smile. I will usually like to participate in most sports, others I just can't enjoy. I probably just need to try harder and smile through. I like to participate more on fitness days, because at the beginning of the year I told myself that I wanted to try harder and be proud of the hard work I put into the year. I wanted to live a better life and enjoy it. I have those days during fitness or just a normal p.e. day where its just not the best whether i'm not feeling good, tired, or am just not up to. I would say I have struggled most with fitness for example: the hill run. Not my best. I want to start trying harder to make it better for me to enjoy fitness.

 I like to think that I can contribute to this class by cheering on teammates and trying to motivate them. I usually like to bring a cheerful attitude to this class since if you smile doing something then other people might smile too. I act kind and nicely to them them. Even if their in different class i believe that they still have a chance to be motivated by other class mates and friends. Helping others is also important maybe they aren't feeling the best and they want someone their to help them. You never really never know what someones feeling like until you help.

During fitness days I try really hard to push myself and my limits to farther than I've been . Last year in grade 9 I used to hate fitness since i didn't try hard to improve my self and enjoy the class. This year I pushed myself beyond limits and I have succeeded by doing so. That just makes all the better. I enjoy the triple threat. Other than that i don't really know which ones I enjoy the most. we do different things for fitness that I don't even remember what kind of activities we do. I do enjoy and activity that is played on the upper field where there are ten stations and we do running, rest, yoga and a ton of fun activities for one minute then we switch and more to the next station. I enjoy that one, but I don't remember what its called. I have that same goals for Fitness as i started the year with, but for a goal i have i would like to get to a a seven on the beep test by the end of the year because I'm kind of bad at the beep test and i would very much enjoy a higher core on the beep test. Also to work on my blog more during the second semester.

Leadership means to show a good example of your self, and to help and teach others. When  a leader motivates others you'll see a person acting in a habitat where they aren't bossing others around and being taller than the rest. it best to help others and teaching their ways to improve the lives of others. I feel as if everybody sees a leader in a different way. Friends can be good leaders to help you push your self and your limits. I would say people who put dedication into their blogs and in the gym. The people that you see trying hard to do their best in class.                

Improvements I want to make for the end of the year is top start making a blog post about fitness and and to remember. I have a bad memory so I need to be reminded or to do it right way after class. I would also like to get a seven on the beep test like before I said. I am proud of the fact that i improved on my beep test the we just did and that i have been able to last longer during things that we having been doing. Other than that I would like to keep improving myself and I know that some days aren't going to be the best I will have to keep going forward. I think maybe my letter grade would say is maybe about 80%.

Thriple threat

      Today we just did the triple threat. I feel proud because I tried really hard to do better than I did the last fitness class and I think I did. I was tired but I kept going at it.I could feel the sweat running down my face which I gross and hear the heavy breathing I was doing. It fun over all and there where definitely hard exercises that we where doing, but over all I enjoyed it.  We did three different exercises that involved the body, the mats, and weights. We stretched after the work outs and it felt good to strech. I had a fun workout and I'm happy with the way it went.

Capture The Flag

On Wednesday last week we played capture the flag and it was ninth graders vs tenths and eighths. I don't think anyone won that one but I was a fun game. I was really sore after a while of playing. I remember two days after on fitness day I was still sore. It was a good sore that can show you that you actually did try. I enjoyed the game. I was on defence but it was fun to chase after people to get them. Over all it was a fun day. Although I couldn't run across the line because honestly I'm just to afraid to even try. I know its bad but maybe next time. Anyways I enjoy getting to be defence you run and get more movement in trying to chase people. Its kind of boring too when no body runs to get the balls so you just stand there waiting. This day was fun and I enjoyed it.

Hill Run

So today we did the hill run and it wasn't easy. We felt as though we could have vomited. I was on my 6th lap when I felt as though I could have passed out. I couldn't see properly. But I feel as though I could have tried harder and I should have but it was if I had given up. Next time I should concentrate on my breathing and having a steady pace. I needed up running seven laps altogether. I did walk back and forth to help bring it down. During these laps we had to run up a steep hill and walk down the steep hill. But for me it was harder to walk down the hill then walking up the hill. I should bring water and try to keep my pace and hopefully next time I will succeed with my goal and actually make it the whole time.

Pond run

I just did the pond run. It was hard and tiring. I was running the first half with sarah. But then we drifted apart then I was running alone. I was trying to pace myself so I could last the whole minute. Along the way I started to feel it. I was tired and wasn't feeling that amazing. So I slowed down to get a better pace. I lasted the whole time and I was happy that I did. I think I slowed down to much because by the end I wasn't that tired. I am proud that I ran a whole minute even though half way I was tired and that I made it all the way. I was kind of glad I ran alone for the end because I feel as if I would slow someone down if we ran the same pace and sometimes I'm slower. So I made it and I ran at my own pace.
